What Is a Drone Wash?

No it's not cleaning drones and it's certainly not a car wash. It's an innovative process using drones to clean building, structures, solar panels, windows, and more.

A drone wash uses specially designed drones equipped with a nozzle, connections for high-pressure pumps, and may have automated flight systems that help facilitate cleaning.

Unlike traditional methods that rely on squeeges and elbow grease. Spray cleaning relies on water temperatures, pressure, nozzle, chemicals, and techniques to clean.

Drone washing allows the operator to stay safely on the ground while the drone handles the dirty work up to 15 stories high (and sometimes more).

These aren’t hobby drones — they’re purpose-built for industrial cleaning, capable of spraying purified water or cleaning solutions with pinpoint accuracy, even in hard-to-reach areas.


How Does Drone Washing Work?

Drone cleaning might look like magic, but there’s a lot of precision behind every mission. Here’s how it works:

1. Site Assessment

Before the first flight, you need to evaluates the property if it is adequite for drone cleaning. Checking height, identifying obstacles, and checking access to water and power. This ensures there is a cleaning plan that meets site-specific safety requirements.

2. Setup and Safety

Ground crews set up launch zones, safety perimeters, and water filtration systems. We use deionized         or reverse-osmosis (RO) purified water to prevent spotting and mineral buildup.

3. Lift Off

Once everything is ready, the drone takes flight. Ut sprays water or cleaning solution in precise patterns blasting away dirt, grime, bird droppings, and other buildup.

4. Spot-Free Rinse

We finish with purified water to leave the surface streak-free and spotless. No squeegees, no residue, no ladders.

5. Final Inspection

Every job ends with a quality inspection. We document results with before-and-after photos or video so clients can see the difference for themselves.

The Technology Behind Drone Washing

Each drone is equipped with an nozzle, camera, GPS, flight controller, and a custom spray payload system.

Water and cleaning solution are either carried onboard or delivered through a tethered hose system from the ground. Most systems connect to a pressure washer or soft washing pump.
